okay so i just discovered lars von trier's new film, the sequel to Dogville (which is one of my favorite films ever). Nicole Kidman is no longer playing Grace, for obvious reasons.

another lars film = another mythical fable on the american dream. and probably another critic on the human condition. and the intense suffering of the protagonist.

this film is going to rock.

of marx, rumi, neitzsche and chomsky

"All that is solid melts into air, all that is holy is profaned"

Karl Marx in The Communist Manifesto.

"This place is a dream
only a sleeper considers it real"

Rumi in The Dream That Must Be Interpreted

"Plato is boring."

Friedrich Nietzsche in Twilight of the Idols.

"Colorless green ideas sleep furiously."

Noam Chomsky

seemingly random qoutes from four very different people:
a philosopher, poet, writer and a linguist.

enigmas

definitely ones to look up too.

ramblings of a random dweller

this place offers freedom
to express thoughts, and stuff

but i am still
restricted
by my own will

the thing about love is that it transcends all;
we can be different people and still be friends
(without being indifferent)

but i've gone as far as the end of the leash
its pulling me back, surely
restraint can only go far

perhaps the right thing to do for me
is to say what's on my mind

though the last thing on my mind is to offend those close to me

drifter

on another note:

1. i love my classmates this semester. they're so supportive and nice. and helpful.

2. i will embark on the process of applying for jobs. but first, i need to prepare a CV.

3. my photo taken by Nadirah Zakariya. we really should collaborate again. and again and again. hahah

transition

i need to take it slow.

not that i am stressed or anything. but the past two months have seen me doing a lot of work. two design tutorials per week is good.. but i had to put out a consistent amount of work constantly. tired physically and perhaps emotionally too. and while i haven't been completely reclusive, i find myself extremely reluctant to socialise with friends.

i gotta start somewhere. last tuesday was a particularly beautiful spirng day, so i took my camera out again. it's been a while since i took photographs. in a way, i guess, the repressed emotions (of the past months) manifest themselves in these new photos.
