pure hearts

it's disheartening for me to read the things people sometimes say about some friends of mine. crude personal attacks from holier-than-thou bitches whose intentions do not rise much higher than trying to prove that they are better, more grateful and more religious than others.

are they looked down upon simply because they are somewhat different, and that they actually have something to say? i cannot say. for the thing that strikes me the most is that these are strongest people i know; people who see beyond colors, who believe the good in others and whose faith is paramount. qualities i don't really possess. what wrong have they really committed, when they think of others beyond themselves?

i shall share with you an interesting message i received from someone i don't know that well, but whom i admire nonetheless. when asked how does she remain so collected, this is what she has to say:

"that's because i know that my fate is ultimately in god's hands. and since He says He's the most forgiving among those who forgive, i'm happily comforted most of the time."
