packing for a two week holiday

exactly what does one pack for a two week holiday?
and when is it too little, or (gasp!) too much?

let's begin with a shirt. a graphic checkered one should be flexible enough:
and several blue / purple-ish t shirts. plus two bright ones, for a splash of colour underneath a sombre sweater:
wool sweaters, for warmth. and layering:
a black wool biker jacket:
and a heavy duty zipped hoodie:
don't forget the pants. purple chinos, checkered green, and a pair of tight blue jeans:
stuff them in the small luggage carrier. fortunately, they fit:
and voila!
packing completed in approximately one hour.
