bkk

this is a rather conventional post.

it was my third trip to bangkok (i believe).

we landed at suvarnabhumi. i thought the airport was a fantastic composition of concrete and steel (for which i am right), you thought it could be better (which is also right). i've always loved bangkok for its surreal exoticism, it felt like a different world. on a taxi traversing the massive elevated highway the city seemed like an ocean of densely packed little buildings. it almost seemed calm. the taxi took us to shangri-la. it was my first time at a shangri-la. did you know that the owner is malaysian? the thing that striked me the most upon entering the hotel was its air. it smells so good. again, it is as if you were transported to a different world, a stark contrast to what is outside. we went up the elevator to our room. cantik sangat. we were greeted with a stalk of red rose and a box of chocolates. yum :-) and talk about good service. the bathroom is very white and very gorgeous.

ok just let the pictures do the talking!
