i understand it now. one cannot expect the progress of academia (or life, for the matter) via projecting a negative outlook on things.

we need to see the bigger picture here. it's not about designing 'a good building' (a laughable oxymoron, for was it ever quantifiable?) but rather the expansion of the mind to new territories.

i'm beginning to realise other things as well, particularly the potential of said words to eventually manifest idealogical contradictions. i don't want to be a egotistical mindfucker who psychoanalytically manipulates things to fail, but i'd be lying if i said it didn't cross my mind.

he may be right. we need 'an andy': a genius who doesn't give a fuck and breaks all the rules.
