i have an urge to splurge.
i had another look at them again. they're grey and black, with turquoise lining. material : (grey) felt. yeap. felt! it's pretty much what i'd go for these days, minimal but a little unusual, monochrome with a splash of color. yeah. plus i carry a felt bag to work.
but i convinced myself that it might look a little bulky on me, and i left without even trying them on. i should go for something that i'd wear (a lot). and then i remember this camper beauty:
there's a crudeness to this that i really like: the expression of the sewn parts, the resolved simplicity of the 'lace', and the minimal cutting required. it's all rather 'brute' no?

i haven't smoked at all this week, and had just one cup of coffee. no issues. so i was right all along, i'm not addicted.
